Instructions for preparing videos
SBRC 2020 will be held through the underline virtual platform. Underline’s technical team has prepared instructions for the authors containing tips for recording the videos, as can be seen in the following file: INSTRUCTIONS.
The length of the videos and the organization of the sessions are specific to each activity and, therefore, will be described below. Please pay attention to the video and presentation upload deadlines as defined in the instructions file above. The deadline is on November 16. The information on the duration and organization of each session will be updated according to the definition of the chairs of each event.
Main track: Authors must record videos with duration between 10 and 15 minutes. Technical sessions will be organized with the presentation of all recorded videos of this session in a row. After that, we have time for questions to authors that must be online at the virtual room to answer those questions.
Short courses: If the authors decide to record a video, it should last for at most 3 hours. However, it is recommended to divide the video in two, taking into account that these 3 hours are divided into two blocks of an hour and a half. In the case of two videos, each video must be sent in a separate form to Underline. Take some time for questions and answers.
Demo session: Authors should record a technical session video and another video demonstrating the tool, each lasting up to 10 minutes. The technical session video aims to show the proposal’s idea in general lines, as traditionally done in the face-to-face technical sessions of the SBRC Demo Session. The demonstration video will replace the face-to-face tool demonstration. For example, the demonstration can be the same video produced at the time of work submission. Technical sessions will be organized with all the recorded videos of that session, one after the other. Then there will be time for questions and responses to authors who must be online in the technical session room. The demonstration videos, in turn, will be made available asynchronously to the attendees. There will be a time reserved for chat discussions about the demonstrations, in which authors must be online in the virtual room. Each video must be submitted in a separate form to Underline.
CTD: Authors must record videos lasting 15 minutes. The CTD will have two technical sessions for master science works and two for doctor science works. Each technical session will be organized with the presentation of the recorded videos. After each presentation, there will be 5 minutes for questions and answers to the authors who must be online in the virtual room of the technical session.
As part of the videos preparation, it is also required to complete the form in the following: FORM. The paper ID filled in the form must be the same paper ID in JEMS. If the authors have two videos to send, each one must be identified by the EDAS identifier + a suffix. For example, “ID-JEMS-part1” and “ID-JEMS-part2” or “ID-JEMS-presentation” and “ID-JEMS-demo”.
Workshops
WGRS: Authors must record 10-minute videos. Each technical session will be organized with presentation of the recorded videos. After each presentation, there will be 5-8 minutes for questions and answers to the authors who must be online in the virtual room of the technical session.
CoUrb: Authors must record 20-minute videos presenting their work. These videos will be available to all event participants asynchronously. In technical sessions, authors must present live (up to 5 min) the main results of their work. At the end of all session presentations, there will be time for questions and answers to authors who must be online in the virtual room of the technical session.
WPEIF: Authors must record videos lasting 15 minutes. WPEIF will have two technical sections and each technical session will be organized with the presentation of the recorded videos. After each presentation, there will be 5 minutes for questions and answers to the authors who must be online in the virtual room of the technical session.
WCGA: Authors must record videos lasting between 10 and 15 minutes. Videos longer than 15 minutes will be interrupted when you complete the maximum time. Presentations will take place in technical sessions on December 7th from 9:30-13:00h. The technical sessions will be organized with the presentation of the recorded videos and then the authors will have the opportunity to discuss live their work with the community in question and answer sessions that will take place soon after the transmission of each presentation, as it would occur face-to-face. At least one of the authors must be in the room during the presentation of the video of the article to participate in the question and answer moment, with time coordinated by the session chair.
WTG: Authors must record videos lasting between 10 and 15 minutes. The technical sessions will be organized with the presentation of all the videos recorded from that session, one after the other. Then there will be time for questions and answers to the authors who must be online in the virtual room of the technical session.
WTF: The workshop will take place in a hybrid way. Authors must record videos lasting 15 minutes, which will be available before the event. The technical sessions will be organized with the presentation of the recorded videos and soon after the authors will have the opportunity to complement the information in the video and discuss live their work with the community, as well as it would occur face-to-face.
