XXXVIII SBRC 2020
To the Brazilian community of computer networks and distributed systems,
The SBRC 2020 will be held ONLINE from 07 to 10 December 2020.
Due to current uncertainties as a consequence of all countermeasures conducted against COVID-19 outbreak that affect events occurrence and attendance, the general organization of SBRC 2020 carried out the necessary procedures to change the face-to-face modality to online. This decision is supported both by the community participating in the event and by SBC and LARC, both organizers of the event. The community was consulted through an online form and the result revealed that 80.6% of the 227 participants who expressed an opinion would not attend a face-to-face event, even if this was in December. Even counting only the opinion of authors of accepted papers, the percentage remained close, 78.9%, which reinforced the decision made.
